WASHINGTON, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- A medical transport jet crashed near a shopping center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania late Friday, according to the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The plane crash, which came just a few seconds after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, took place only a couple of days after a passenger plane collided with a military helicopter in Washington D.C.
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parke said in a post on X platform, "An aircraft crashed tonight in the vicinity of the Roosevelt Mall on Cottman Avenue. It occurred shortly after 6 p.m. this evening." "We have no reports on the number of fatalities," she added.
