KHARTOUM, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- The rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) bombarded Omdurman city, killing at least 54 people and injuring 158 others, the coordination committee of resistance in Karary district, northwest Khartoum, said Saturday.
The fierce attacks by RSF targeted neighborhoods where protests erupted against their presence, the resistance group of volunteers noted in a statement.
The Sudanese health ministry confirmed that local hospitals received dozens of casualties after the attacks. (end) mam.aai
