CAIRO, Feb 1 (KUNA) - Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah will meet Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi on Sunday at the start of his two-day official visit to Cairo.
In statements to KUNA upon the arrival of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and his accompanying delegation at the Cairo International Airport, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Ghanim Al-Ghanim unveiled the Deputy Prime Minister's visit to Cairo is part of a three-leg regional tour that also includes the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman.
Ambassador Al-Ghanim added that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef will meet the Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and will hold meetings with ministers of interior and defense and a number of Egyptian officials to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation particularly in the security and military fields.
He pointed out that the visit falls within the framework of the close fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly Arab countries.
He also spoke highly about the distinguished brotherly relations and the close coordination and cooperation between Kuwait and Egypt.
He stressed the keenness of both nations to strengthen the historical ties.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef made his first official visit to Egypt last June, during which he met with Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik and Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohamad Zaki.
The discussions during this visit focused on cementing coordination and cooperation in the security and military fields. (end)
