Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes Thursday evening on two mountainous areas in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region, deep in south Lebanon.

The state-run Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation claimed that the strikes targeted "Hezbollah rocket launchpads."
