Northern West Bank (PNN) –
The Israeli military has forcibly displaced hundreds of Palestinian families from the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm and the Al-Far’a camp in Tubas, northern West Bank, as part of its ongoing military operations in the region.
Local sources reported that since the beginning of the assault on Al-Far’a camp, Israeli forces have forced approximately 200 families to flee their homes.
According to official sources, around 1,000 Palestinians were displaced under threat of force, with families seeking refuge in nearby areas, including Tubas, Tammun, Aqaba, and Wadi Al-Far’a.
The Israeli assault on Al-Far’a camp has entered its ninth consecutive day, marked by mass displacement, home raids, and the conversion of residential buildings into military outposts and interrogation centers. Israeli forces have also reportedly detonated doors, destroyed civilian infrastructure and property, and sealed off main and secondary roads with dirt mounds.
Israeli occupation forces have intensified their military operations in Al-Far’a and Nur Shams refugee camps, forcibly displacing hundreds of Palestinian families under the threat of gunfire and explosions.
Local sources in Al-Far’a camp, Tubas, reported that dozens of families were seen leaving the camp on Monday after being forced out of their homes at gunpoint. Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with Israeli forces firing live rounds indiscriminately and explosions heard intermittently throughout the area.
Displaced residents recounted harrowing experiences of being forced to flee under heavy rain, enduring hours of detainment in muddy streets, and facing physical searches and mistreatment—particularly young men who were reportedly subjected to beatings and prolonged detentions before being allowed to leave.
Others described the conditions inside the camp as "dire and appalling," with homes and shops reduced to rubble, streets torn apart, and Israeli troops storming residences, ransacking belongings, and assaulting young men. Elderly residents were reportedly expelled without being allowed to take essential belongings, including clothing, while soldiers confiscated mobile phones from many residents.
Widespread Destruction in Nur Shams Camp
Nihad Al-Shawish, head of the Popular Services Committee in Nur Shams, described the situation in the camp as "extremely dire," stating that Israeli forces have advanced into multiple neighborhoods, blowing up doors while residents were still inside and forcibly evicting them under threat.
According to Al-Shawish, a mass displacement of residents is underway, particularly among women, children, the elderly, and the sick. Entire neighborhoods—including Al-Maslach, Al-Manshiya, Jabal Al-Salihin, and Jabal Al-Nasr—have been largely emptied, with displaced families being directed by Israeli forces toward designated areas in Tulkarm city, Dhinnaba suburb, and the town of Anabta.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has been assisting elderly and sick individuals in evacuating to safer locations. However, humanitarian efforts remain hindered by the ongoing military operations.
Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers have demolished infrastructure across the camp, cutting off electricity, water, and internet services. Civilians’ homes, businesses, and vehicles have also been targeted, particularly in the Al-Manshiya and Jabal Al-Salihin neighborhoods, with destruction now spreading deeper into the camp’s interior.
Half of Nur Shams Camp Displaced, Hundreds of Homes Destroyed
The Emergency Committee in Nur Shams announced on Monday that at least half of the camp’s residents have been displaced, with infrastructure severely damaged. Israeli forces have completely destroyed 200 homes and partially demolished 120 others, with the toll expected to rise.
As the military operation continues, desperate calls for help are emerging from inside the camp, particularly from elderly residents and families trapped in homes that have been partially demolished while they were still inside. One such case was reported in the Jabal Al-Salihin neighborhood, where the Al-Qusair family was stranded inside their damaged home as Israeli forces continued their assault.
The situation remains critical, with Palestinian authorities and humanitarian groups calling for immediate international intervention to prevent further forced displacement and destruction.
