The UAE has announced the development of the world’s first ChatGPT-powered tool specifically designed for the agricultural community. Unveiled at COP29 in Baku by Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Head of the International Affairs Office in the UAE Presidential Court, the tool referred to as “CHAG” (Chat + Ag) – will leverage over 50 years of agricultural research data to support farmers worldwide. The AI-powered platform aims to revolutionise farming practices by helping agriculturalists make data-driven decisions about planting and harvesting times, while also providing guidance on adapting to increasingly unpredictable weather patterns. The tool will be particularly valuable for farmers operating in challenging climatic conditions. “Instead of providing a general forecast, we are translating all this into something actionable for farmers with the power of AI,” said Celeste Saulo, Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organisation, WAM reported.
