The 9th UN Tourism World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism opened today at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), bringing together global leaders, industry experts, and stakeholders to explore the transformative role of gastronomy tourism in fostering cultural exchange, sustainability, and economic development. The event, held for the first time in the Middle East, runs from November 18-19. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, and Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA). The forum marks a significant milestone for Bahrain as it continues to enhance its global standing as a tourism hub. In her remarks, Minister Al Sairafi expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his unwavering support in advancing Bahrain’s tourism strategy.
