The Roads and Transport Authority has announced road closures ahead of the Dubai Run 2024. With the sporting event taking over key routes in the city on Sunday, November 24, the RTA has revealed plans for road closures and advised motorists to plan journeys in advance. Roads in Dubai, including Sheikh Zayed Road, will be closed from 3.30am to 10.30am. Dubai Run 2024 road closures A message from the RTA on social media said: “In line with Dubai Run, #RTA announces the closure of the roads listed above from 3.30 AM to 10.30 AM on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Plan your journey in advance and use the alternative routes to avoid potential delays”. With the Dubai Run Challenge taking place on Sunday, the RTA announced road closures for motorists during the race day on Thursday. These roads will be closed for the duration of the event: As an alternative, and to minimise delays. The RTA has suggested routes on these roads: Part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, the run is expected to attract up to 200,000 participants of all fitness levels choosing between 5km and 10km routes along Sheikh Zayed Road.
