A collaborative effort between the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence and Customs officials has resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs at the air cargo facility, the Ministry of Interior announced. The drugs, including methamphetamine (“shabu”), marijuana, and CBD products, have an estimated street value of 11,000 dinars. The successful operation followed intelligence gathering and investigation, leading to the interception of a suspicious postal package. Several suspects were apprehended in the act of attempting to collect the package, the Ministry stated in a statement. The Anti-Narcotics Directorate stated that the seized drugs have been confiscated, and legal proceedings are underway. The case will be referred to the Public Prosecution. The Ministry emphasised the importance of community partnership in combating drug trafficking
