A convicted killer already serving a life sentence at Jau Prison has been handed another jail term this time for a vicious attack that left a fellow Inmate with shattered teeth, a fractured jaw, and a permanent disability. The First High Criminal Court sentenced him and four others to three years behind bars for the bashing, which targeted three prisoners and left one with lasting damage. The attack took place on 30 June 2022 inside the Reform and Rehabilitation Centre at Jau Prison. Injuries Prosecutors said the five men set upon their fellow inmates, one of whom suffered broken facial bones, lost five teeth, and was left with a misaligned jaw that affected his ability to chew. A head injury caused permanent impairment. The other two victims were injured but not to the same extent.
