Authorities arrested a group of fishermen caught using prohibited bottom trawling nets (Kofa), a destructive fishing method banned under local regulations. The arrest followed a report from the Coast Guard Command, which detected the illegal activity at sea. According to officials, the Coast Guard spotted a boat carrying several Indian nationals engaged in bottom trawling. Upon noticing the security patrol, the fishermen attempted to flee, prompting a chase. The authorities successfully intercepted the vessel and detained the suspects, who were found in possession of a quantity of freshly caught shrimp.
