A young Bahraini woman, who sustained a 5% disability from a horse bite, has been awarded BD3,000 in compensation by the Fourth High Civil Court. The court ruled that the stable owner must pay the amount to the injured woman. The lawsuit details that the woman, while riding at the defendant’s stable, was attacked by another horse owned by the same stable. The attack occurred after she had fallen from her own horse, resulting in serious injuries. Medical reports confirmed that the injuries led to a permanent 5% disability. In its ruling, the court emphasized that the defendant, as the keeper of the horse, was liable for the incident. The defendant failed to provide any evidence of external factors that could negate his responsibility. Consequently, the court ordered the defendant to pay 2,500 dinars for material damages and 500 dinars for moral damages.
