Schools in the Kingdom will open from 8:00 AM during Ramadan. The government confirmed this, rejecting a parliamentary proposal to delay it by an hour to 9:00 AM. In response, the government stressed its commitment to monitoring and addressing any challenges students may face during the holy month. Besides, new morning bus waiting times have been announced. Under the new schedule, as per a written response—a copy of which was obtained by the Daily Tribune—bus waiting times for primary and intermediate students will be at 7:10 AM, while secondary students will wait at 6:55 AM. For students in vocational and technical education, as well as those in religious institutes, the waiting time will be set at 6:45 AM. Timings were determined based on consultations with relevant authorities and feedback from numerous parent councils across public schools. This decision aligns with reports by specialized committees, which studied the possibility of rescheduling the school day for primary and intermediate levels along with the waiting times for public school buses.
