The British School of Bahrain (BSB) recently celebrated outstanding achievements at both the Young Musicians of the Gulf (YMOG) competition and the COBIS Music Festival 2025. BSB was crowned the overall winner of the COBIS Music Festival 2025, taking home the Jeremy Hibbins Cup. Among the standout performances, Stella Rudiferia secured 1st place in composition and was awarded the title of Composer of the Year 2025. Other results included: In addition to these accomplishments, BSB’s musicians excelled at Young Musicians of the Gulf (YMOG) competition, with Rancheng Xu and Timothy Yu Shin winning the Small Ensemble category and securing the prestigious Best Overall Ensemble title. Stella Rudiferia also continued her success with a 2nd place finish in the Composition category. Headteacher Ms. Liz expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating, “Winning the Jeremy Hibbins Cup and excelling in the Young Musicians of the Gulf competition is a testament to the extraordinary talent of our students and the unwavering dedication of our faculty.
