Four Bangladeshi men have been caught with 364 kilograms of crabs after fishing in a protected marine area where commercial fishing is banned. They have been detained as the Public Prosecution looks into the case, it announced yesterday. The Coast Guard reported the arrests after officers stopped the men in restricted waters. Their boats were searched, turning up the illegal catch. Prosecutors questioned the suspects and ordered them held while the matter is examined further. Two boats and the fishing gear used have been seized. The haul was ordered to be sold at auction, with the proceeds handed to the court treasury. The case is expected to go before the relevant court.
