The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia has issued new directives ahead of the month of Ramadan, banning the use of cameras in mosques to film the imam and worshippers during prayers, including the Taraweeh prayers. The ministry also prohibited the transmission or broadcasting of prayers through any media platforms, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The ministry emphasised the importance of imams and preachers adhering to these guidelines and directed worshippers to maintain proper decorum and religious etiquette within the mosques.
