The accused, a n Asian n tional, will be deported after serving his sentence. A forensic report from the Material Evidence Department confirmed that the victim suffered a fractured right foot, requiring surgery to insert medical plates and screws. Police said the incident occurred when the accused confronted the victim, who was reportedly playing “batta” with his roommate on the terrace of their building. A verbal altercation broke out when the accused demanded the money back. The situation escalated when the victim threatened to report him to the police. Shortly after, as the victim was descending a wooden staircase, the accused allegedly pushed him forcefully with his chest, causing him to lose balance and tumble down from the first floor. In addition to persistent swelling and pain, the victim now suffers from a slight limp, with his permanent disability estimated at 10%.
