A man who stabbed his housemate to death in a drunken rage has been jailed for life. The First High Criminal Court sentenced him on Monday, and ordered his permanent deportation after serving his time. The knife used in the killing was also confiscated. The attack took place in September last year at the victim’s home, which he shared with the defendant and others. Tensions According to prosecutors, tensions flared when the victim insulted the defendant’s mother. A witness said the defendant, reeking of alcohol, returned later brandishing a knife, demanding to know who had made the insult. When the victim repeated it, a fight broke out. The defendant slashed the victim’s arm, left the room briefly, then returned. The victim told him to leave, but instead, he drove the knife into his chest. The attacker fled, ditching the weapon as the victim bled out. Also read: Father Jailed For Life After Tying Up And Killing Son
