Bahrain’s Gulf Air has launched direct services to London’s Gatwick Airport. This comes a full 55 years after the national airline launched direct services from Manama to London Heathrow. “The addition of Gatwick strengthens Gulf Air’s presence in the UK, providing travelers with access to two major international gateways in London,” said a statement from the GCC airline. The airline’s Heathrow services had started in 1970. The start of the Gatwick bound flights  is a ‘significant step in Gulf Air’s network expansion strategy, reinforcing its commitment to offering passengers enhanced connectivity and greater travel options’. “The introduction of this route aligns with the airline’s vision to enhance customer experience by offering seamless connections and more choices for travelers,” the statement added. Currently, Gulf Air operates double daily flights to heathrow.
