TEL AVIV, Israel - The Israeli cabinet on Sunday approved the appointment of Yossi Shelley, the current director general of the Prime Minister's Office, as the country's next ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Shelley, 67, is described as a confidante of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and is a member of the ruling Likud Party.
