KUWAIT CITY, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait sent an aid plane to Syria on Monday, the first since the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government earlier this month, the official Kuwait News Agency reported.

The plane departed from Abdullah al-Mubarak air base in Kuwait City, carrying 20 tons of food, tents, and blankets, to assist the most vulnerable population in Syria.
