Boughali chairs meeting of Lower House bureau

ALGIERS - The Speaker of the People's National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Brahim Boughali, chaired a meeting of the Assembly's bureau during which he heard two presentations on a proposal for two laws relating to the protection of the elderly, and the repression of public drunkenness and the protection of minors against alcoholism, the Lower House said Monday in a press release.

The bureau began the works of this meeting, held on Sunday, “by announcing the vacancy of a deputy's seat due to death", said the press release.

The bureau then heard “two presentations on a proposal for two laws, the first relating to the protection of the elderly, and the second modifying and completing order No. 75-26 relating to the repression of public drunkenness and the protection of minors against alcoholism.”

The People’s National Assembly’s bureau examined “the oral and written questions submitted at its level, and decided to submit to the Government the questions meeting the required conditions.”[/ecr]
