This meeting focused on "examining the agenda of the Council of the Nation's work for the upcoming period, studying the proposals for permanent commissions' work programs for 2024-2025, reviewing the status of oral and written questions filed at the level of the  bureau, and progress made in the project to revise the internal regulations of Parliament's Upper House," said the source.

The Council's Extended Bureau opened the session by welcoming the directives and instructions of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the recent Council of Ministers’ meeting. They particularly endorsed his emphasis on protecting citizens' purchasing power and preventing unauthorized price increases through strict law enforcement.

He also welcomed “the main lines contained in the 2025 finance bill,” considering them as “evidence of the public authorities’ commitment to preserving social achievements.”

The project reflects the major initiatives promised by the President of the Republic during his election campaign, with the 2025 finance bill embodying particularly significant political objectives, according to the statement.

The Bureau considered that "the same importance characterizes the bill on local authorities in order to pave the way for a victorious Algeria, whose milestones are laid down and reinforced by the President of the Republic."

Taking advantage of this opportunity and on the eve of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Revolution of 1st November 1954, Goudjil extended “his congratulations and greetings to mujahedeen for their sacrifices for the country.”
