During this meeting, the Prime Minister said that “the outcomes of the Africa-Korea Summit will further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Algeria,” praising the measures provided for by the investment law, which reflects the commitment of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to improve investment climate.”
“These measures will encourage the Korean companies to enter the Algerian market,” he said.
For his part, Boughali said that Algeria “is South Korea’s strategic partner in Africa,” adding that the conclusions of the summit “will help African countries boost development.”
He further underscored that “the fight against illegal migration, terrorism, violent extremism, drug trafficking and human trafficking requires a comprehensive approach based on achieving development and stability.”
In this respect, Boughali recalled the partnership agreement signed in 2006, emphasizing the importance of “activating it at a higher level.”
“The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is working to establish a diversified, knowledge-based Algerian economy that does not only rely on hydrocarbons.”
“The two parties expressed their concern about the instability in the Middle East and the deteriorating humanitarian conditions, they also agreed to work together to establish stability and peace in the region.”
In this regard, Boughali said that “the current World Order has proven its limitations and inability to resolve conflicts, thus compromising the future of the forthcoming generations,” said the same source.
They also underlined the importance of cooperation between Algeria and South Korea in various forums as Security Council’s non-permanent members.
This meeting is part of Boughali's official visit to South Korea, leading a parliamentary delegation at the invitation of his counterpart Woo Won-shik.[/ecr]
