Bringing together 19 young entrepreneurs, this meeting took place in the presence of Algeria's ambassador to South Korea and the parliamentary delegation accompanying Boughali.

It “provided insight into the diverse institutional makeup of the delegation and each company's specialization, in addition to the objectives of the training program and supervision mechanisms,” the same source said.

On this occasion, Boughali highlighted that “the startup and knowledge economy program—now a reality thanks to a clear political will of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune—aims to provide essential support to the sector to enable startups to become key drivers in diversifying the national economy and breaking free from hydrocarbon dependency, as we transition from a rent-based to a knowledge-based economy.”

Underscoring the importance of investing in startups, Boughali noted that “fostering an entrepreneurship and innovation climate has significantly contributed to improving Algeria's ranking at the continental level in terms of startups.”

The Algerian startup owners unanimously expressed their appreciation for “the interest shown by the President of the Republic in startups and the knowledge economy, along with the forward-looking vision framing them,” the same source wrapped up.
