Kharchi met on Saturday, within the executive board's delegation led by the league's president, Hamid Bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, the president of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus, with whom were discussed “the tragic developments of the situation in Gaza Strip and in the occupied Palestinian territories, due to the genocidal war waged by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people,” specified the same source.

The meeting also focused on “avenues to strengthen support and solidarity and intensify efforts between parliamentarians through parliamentary diplomacy mechanisms to stop the aggression and address the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the region,” according to the statement.
