The ceremony took place in front of the headquarters of the Algerian Radio and Television, in the presence of the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), Amar Takdjout, a representative of the General Directorate of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic, heads of public media establishments and organizations, as well as representatives of the revolutionary family.

The ceremony was an opportunity to recall the role of revolutionary media, particularly the secret Radio, in defending the righteousness of the Algerian cause and exposing the colonizers' lies.

Similar ceremonies were organized across regional Radio and Television stations.[/ecr]
