“Following the remarkable success of the military parade organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Revolution of 1 November 1954, General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, chaired this morning, Monday, November 11th, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, an award ceremony in honour of the military officers and staff who participated in this important military parade,” said the same source.
During this ceremony, which was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the Commanders of Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Heads of Departments, the Army Controller General, the Directors and Heads of Services of the Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff of the PNA, the Directors General of Customs, National Security and Civil Protection, the Army General delivered a speech in which he made a point of conveying to the staff who participated in the parade “the congratulations of the President of the Republic for the enormous efforts made for the success of this military parade which gave an honourable image of the PNA and of an Algeria proud of its glorious Revolution.”
“Following the remarkable success of the military parade organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Revolution of 1 November 1954, it is my great pleasure to present to you, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and on behalf of all the staff of the PNA, the warmest congratulations and the most sincere sentiments of recognition and gratitude for the sustained efforts you have made with dedication and skill, throughout all the stages of preparation and execution of this parade which was a major success,’” he emphasized.
“Through the organization of this military parade, involving the land, air, naval and air defence forces of the territory, which gave an honorific image of the PNA and Algeria, we have endeavoured to be up to the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of our Glorious Revolution, which was and will remain one of the most important stages in modern human history,” said the General.
“Through the organization of this parade, we have sought to recall a resplendent era of our Glorious history, to pay a vibrant tribute to our valorous predecessors who sacrificed what they held most dear for freedom, independence and sovereignty, and to draw inspiration from the values of resilience, sacrifice, selflessness and attachment to the constants of the nation and the achievements of our Glorious revolution,” he added.
The General said that “the loyalty to the sacrifices of millions of Algerian martyrs and the preservation of their legacy implies the strengthening of the country's defence capabilities,” recalling “the major interest accorded by the President of the Republic to the national memory.”[/ecr]
