ALGIERS- Health Minister Abdelhak Saihi held talks with his Palestinian counterpart, Majed Abu Ramada, in Doha, Qatar, where he is attending the "7th World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH 2024)," the ministry said Monday in a s statement.

At a meeting held on the sidelines of the summit's proceedings (November 13-14), the Palestinian minister "expressed his thanks and gratitude to Algeria, for its constant positions in favour of Palestine in international and regional fora."

The Palestinian Health minister welcomed Algeria's "noble humanitarian initiative to take care of the Palestinian injured people and their families (following the Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip), which shows the values of fraternity and strong solidarity between the two countries."

Dubbing the support received by the Palestinian injured in Algeria as "one of the best healthcare services in Algerian medical facilities," Abu Ramadan stressed that it translates Algeria's unwavering commitment to just causes."

The Palestinian minister commended "Algeria's leading role in the defence of the Palestinian people, through Humanitarian support as well as through its courageous and clear political and diplomatic positions, defending the rights of the Palestinians in international fora."
