"On behalf of the president of the Republic, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, minister of National Defence, General Saïd Chanegriha, the deputy minister to the minister of National Defence, chief of staff of the People's National Army, chaired Thursday, 21 November 2024, the installation ceremony of Major General Necereddine Foudhil, as commander of the third Military Region, in Bechar," the statement said.

Following the welcome ceremony, General Chanegriha listened to the national anthem and observed, at the at the entrance to the headquarters of the Command of the 3rd Military Region, a moment of remembrance in honour of Martyr Mustapha Benboulaid, after whom the headquarters of the command of the 3rd Military region is named.

The General laid a wreath in front of the stele commemorating the martyr and recited Al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Holy Qur'an), in memory of Martyr Mustapha Benboulaid and all valiant martyrs.

General Changriha inspected the squares of the military Region's executives and staff, before announcing the official installation of the commander of the third Military Region, replacing Major General Mostefa Smaili.
