Mansouri chairs 38th meeting of APRM Focal Points Committee

ALGIERS — The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, chaired the 38th meeting of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Focal Points Committee, held in Algiers by videoconference as part of the Algerian presidency of the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the mechanism for the period from February 2024 to February 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs said on Thursday in a statement.

The meeting was held in the presence of the APRM Continental Secretariat Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose Quatre.

It centered on “several points, including key initiatives of the mechanism. These include developing the strategic roadmap 2025-2028 and the draft report on governance in Africa for 2025, setting up the African Rating Agency and reviewing the draft agenda for the 3rd Extraordinary Summit and the 34th Ordinary Summit of the APRM Heads of State and Government Forum, scheduled for mid-February in Addis Ababa,” the same source noted.
