70th NATO-PA kicks off with participation of Upper House

ALGIERS- The 70th session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO-PA) kicked off Saturday, in Montreal, Canada, with the participation of a delegation from the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament), according to a Sunday press release from the Upper House.

The Standing committee meetings will discuss several themes, such as “The Challenge of Fighting Disinformation,” “Threatened History and Identities: Protecting Cultural Heritage During Armed Conflicts,” “Dual-Use Technologies: Trade, Regulatory, Societal and National Security Challenges,” in addition to “NATO and Southern Countries.”

A delegation from the Upper House, comprising the chairman of the National Defence Commission, Aïssa Naïli, and Senator Lakhdar Moulay, appointed by the Speaker of the Upper House, Salah Goudjil, who is participating in this session, which will continue until next Monday.” [/ecr]
