Experts welcome government's responsiveness to President Tebboune's instructions

ALGIERS- Economists welcomed Wednesday the responsiveness of the government team to the instructions the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, made in the latest Ministers Council meeting and the decisions he announced in the speech marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Union of Algerian Farmers (NUAF), considering it reflects the central place of citizens' concerns in State's priorities.

The president of the Republic gave instructions to the government on Sunday, stressing the need for them to meet his commitments to the people and to fully implement his presidential programme.

He also underlined the necessity for the ministers to fully and rigorously carry out and execute the tasks assigned to them in the service of citizens, asking them to find solutions to their concerns, with the necessary promptness and professionalism.

On Tuesday, the president of the Republic gave orders to facilitate bank support to investors in cold rooms, announcing that the agricultural land issue would be definitively addressed in 2025.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired a government's meeting on the execution of operational measures for a full implementation of the president of the Republic's directives he gave at the Council of Ministers, mainly in relation to the concerns of citizens and the development of sectoral action plans.

The government heard a report on the national programme to increase cereal storage capacity and the progress made in the achievements of relevant new facilities.

The Government also put in place a number of instruments to deal with the agricultural land issue, the funding of agricultural storage facilities, and meat and livestock feed, in cooperation with the National Union of Algerian Farmers.

In this context, Ishak Kherchi, PhD in Economics and Director of the Business School, commended the "responsiveness" of the new governmental team to the latest instructions of the president of the Republic, adding that it reflects the president's informed decision in "the choice of government team and the reappointment of the Prime Minister."

This diligence also shows "the paramount importance the president of the Republic attaches to addressing citizens' concerns, which are at the top of the state's priorities," especially those concerning the agricultural sector and the country's food security."

Such interest in the daily concerns of citizens led the government to meet 72 hours after the president of the Republic gave the instructions at the Council of Ministers meeting and 24 hours after his speech marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Union of Algerian Farmers, in which he gave directives to the government.

Economic expert and consultant Abdelkader Slimani also stressed "the government's great diligence in the implementation and execution of the instructions of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and in the management of public affairs."

The expert cited the instruction relating to agricultural and banking fields and the dealing with citizens' concerns with the required speed and efficiency.
