Security situation in Syria: Crisis unit set up at Foreign Ministry at President of the Republic’s behest

ALGIERS-At the behest of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and following the development of the security situation in Syria, a crisis unit was set up on Monday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, to take the necessary measures for the members of the national community established in this country, said a press release from the Ministry.

“In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and following the development of the security situation in Syria, a crisis unit was set up on Monday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, to take the necessary measures for the members of the national community established in this country,” said the source.

“Our ministerial department calls on our fellow citizens still present on Syrian territory to maintain regular contact with our services to guarantee effective and rapid response in the context of developments in the situation requiring greater vigilance,” said the source.
