Kamel Sidi Said, Mohamed Meziane chair meeting with accredited private television channel directors

ALGIERS- The Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of the General Directorate of Communication, Kamel Sidi Said, and the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, chaired a meeting on Tuesday with the directors of private accredited television channels, at their request, according to a press release from the General Directorate of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic.

“At the request of the accredited private television channels, the Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of the General Directorate of Communication, Kamel Sidi Said, and the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, chaired a meeting with the directors of these establishments,” read in the press release.

“This meeting focused on the technical mechanisms for adapting to the new provisions of the organic law on information and the audio-visual law. Various perspectives and concerns were raised to ensure a harmonious transition in the application of these legal texts,” added the press release.

“Executives from the General Communication Directorate and directors of public communication and broadcasting institutions attended the meeting,” said the press release. [/ecr]
