The meeting, held at the group's the general management headquarters, in the presence of senior executives of both companies, "is part of the agenda of the Omani delegation's working visit to Algeria to examine the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) concluded between the two companies on 24 April 2024 in the Sultana of Oman," Sonatrach said in a statement.

In this respect, "a joint commission has been created by the two sides to follow up the implementation of the the Memorandum of Understanding."

The commission "will meet to discuss a number of issues, including the technical operations (well and drilling services), cooperation opportunities and specialized training," the statement said.
