OPEC+: Arkab to participate in 55th JMMC meeting

ALGIERS- The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, on Thursday will take part via videoconference in the 55th meeting of the OPEC/non-OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), the ministry announced in a press release on Wednesday.

During this meeting, the ministers will assess the compliance with the OPEC+ production reduction commitments for May and June 2024, said the press release.

The ministers will also discuss the current situation in the world petroleum market and its short-term perspectives, added the same source.

The JMMC consists of the representatives of seven OPEC member countries: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Nigeria, Venezuela, and two non-OPEC countries: Russia and Kazakhstan.[/ecr]
