“As part of implementing the instructions given by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Sonatrach has begun loading the first shipment of fuel oil for Lebanon, to provide it with energy and help it overcome its current crisis, a move that reflects the depth of bilateral relations between Algeria and Lebanon," the press release said.

The cargo prepared at Skikda oil port is initially estimated at nearly 30,000 tons of fuel oil, set to be transported to Lebanon via Sonatrach's tanker “In Ecker,” the same source said.

The goal of this operation is to support the brotherly country Lebanon in this hard situation, by immediately supplying it with quantities of fuel oil to operate power stations and restore the electric current in the country.

“The initiative showcases Sonatrach's firm commitment to backing the decisions of the Algerian State and bolstering the ties of brotherhood with Lebanon, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries,” the press release said.[/ecr]
