In an address at the opening of the national meetings with the investors benefiting from agricultural land as part of the right of concession, at the Office for Industrial Agriculture Development in Saharan Land (ODAS), Cherfa underlined that “'drilling operations for water exploration as part of the “Baladna” project are set to commence this Tuesday'."

A framework agreement was signed, last April, between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Qatari company “Baladna” for the execution of a structuring project consisting in the creation of integrated farms for dairy cows and milk powder production, through a partnership between the Qatari company “Baladna” and the Algeria State, represented by the National Investment Fund (FNI).
