During his participation in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the G77+China at the UN headquarters, Attaf insisted on "the imperative of speaking with one voice in international forums, particularly at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development scheduled for next year, in order to lead the international community to address the biggest issue weighing on development efforts: the financing deficit estimated by UNCTAD at USD4 trillion."
On the occasion of this meeting, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the creation of the G77+China, Attaf recalled "the historical Algiers Charter which established, in October 1964, the institutional foundations of the G77 and defined its strategic objectives".
In this regard, the minister emphasized the importance of mobilizing within the framework of the G77, which carries the aspirations of two-thirds of the world's population, in order to "address common challenges, particularly the elimination of development disparities between the South and the North, the fight against poverty, resolving the debt problem and achieving sustainable development goals in their various dimensions".
