The minister was accompanied by Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Abdelkrim Aouissi, the Wali of Oran, Saïd Sayoud, and local authorities.

We are counting on the support of our sister country, Algeria, for the implementation of these two projects, which are very important for the development of Niger's energy sector," he said in a statement to the press on the sidelines of his visit to the Arzew refinery station.

The refinery project is evolving and Niger would like to benefit from Algeria's support in the construction and implementation process, he added.

Describing Algeria as " the pride of Africa," he said that the country could be a reference for the development of energy infrastructure in African countries.
