The meeting, the fourth of its kind and bringing together the Energy ministers of three countries concerned by the project, will be held “as soon as possible,” affirmed on Sunday the minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, following a meeting with Niger’s minister of Petroleum, Sahabi Oumarou, who is on a visit to Algeria.

In this regard, Arkab underlined that Algeria and Niger agreed to move forward for the execution of this strategic project, and whose realization has already started, according to him, by the launch of technical studies.

The three sides will continue holding the meetings of the joint ministerial committee and of the technical committee to enquire about the progress of the project, in accordance with the set objectives.
