The Chief Executive Officer of Hyproc, Adil Cherouati, emphasized in a statement to the press, during the signing ceremony of the contract, held on the sidelines of the 12th the “Africa & Mediterranean Energy & Hydrogen Exhibition and Conference (NAPEC 2024),” that this operation will enable the company's fleet, consisting of 11 ships, to receive high-speed communication and connection services in maritime areas that cannot be covered by communication networks.
For his part, the CEO of Algeria Telecom Satellite, Yassine Selahi, said that the signing of this contract is the first step in the field of satellite communications at sea, emphasizing that his company has made investments in recent years to enable it to launch into this field.
This contract aims to modernize communication means on board Hyproc fleet for the maritime transport of hydrocarbons, in order to improve the quality of communication and safety on board of the ships, Sonatrach said in a press release.
This project also aims to meet the growing communication needs of Hyproc company, through the improvement of communication quality and the facilitation of maritime operations management, knowing that it will provide high-speed internet coverage and other communication services via satellites.
Through this contract, which is an important step in strengthening Hyproc's maritime communication capabilities and its commitment to digital transformation, the officials of this operation seek to have Sonatrach Group adopt a strategy aimed at promoting national integration by creating partnership aspects between national institutions, said the same source.[/ecr]
