The policy declaration was signed at a ceremony held at the group's headquarters, attended by Sonatrach's senior executives, the statement noted.

This declaration comes to “reaffirm Sonatrach's commitment to achieving industry-leading standards in health, safety, and environmental protection through multiple key principles,” the statement said.

It also aims for “excellence in these areas to generate value and fulfill stakeholders expectations,” the national company said.

The same source underscored that “Sonatrach's new HSE vision rests on three fundamental values: personnel health and safety, asset and facility security, and environmental protection.”
