EU Ambassador reiterates his willingness to strengthen ties between Algerian, European operators

ALGIERS-The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Algeria, Diego Mellado Pascua, reiterated in Oran, during a visit organized at the initiative of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), his willingness to strengthen ties between Algerian and European Union operators.

This visit, organized on 13-14 November as part of strengthening economic relations between Algerian and European companies, following an invitation from CREA President, Kamel Moula, the council said Saturday in a press release.

On the first day of this visit, the EU Ambassador met with business leaders, in the presence of Oran's governor, Said Sayoud, said CREA.

This meeting allowed Pascua to discover the diversity and richness of the Western region's industrial fabric and to have exchanges about effective cooperation between Algerian and European operators, according to the employers' organization, ensuring that “the EU Ambassador was able to observe that the commercial and economic partnership extended equaly to all European countries.”

In this respect, the region's companies expressed "the wish to see partnerships with European companies strengthened through new investments and as part of co-production, which has become a real necessity in a rapidly changing world,” said the press release.[/ecr]
