Arkab takes up duties as Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy

ALGIERS — Mohamed Arkab took up on Tuesday, in Algiers, his duties as Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy and chaired the installation ceremony of the State Secretary to the Minister of Energy, in charge of Mines, Karima Tafer and the State Secretary to the Minister of Energy, in charge of Renewable Energy, Noureddine Yassaa.

Speaking following the government reshuffle carried out Monday by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the handover of powers between Arkab and Fazia Dahleb, the former Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy, took place at the ministry headquarters in the presence of its executives, its managers as well as representatives of the entities placed under its supervision.

Prior to the government reshuffle, Arkab served as the Minister of Energy and Mines before the Renewable Energy sector was added to his ministerial portfolio.
