Speaking during the handover ceremony, Meddahi expressed her heartfelt thanks to the President of the Republic for appointing her as Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts.

She affirmed that she “will work tirelessly to boost this vital sector and present the best image of our country.”

The tourism sector, she said, “is an economic alternative,” especially since “our country has all the natural, heritage, and historical resources that position it as an exceptional tourist destination.”

Meddahi further commended the efforts of the former minister, Mokhtar Didouche, for the development and promotion of the sector.
