As part of this same government reshuffle, Tayeb Zitouni, who previously served as minister of Trade and Export Promotion, was appointed minister of Domestic Trade and National Market Regulation — marking a separation of the portfolios of foreign and domestic trade.
The handover ceremony was held at the ministry headquarters, in the presence of executives and representatives of supervisory institutions.
In a statement on this occasion, Zitouni thanked the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his continued confidence, hailing “President Tebboune's unwavering efforts to protect the purchasing power of citizens through the restructuring of the national market, in line with economic and social transformations.”
For his part, Boukhari thanked the President of the Republic for the confidence placed in him by appointing him to this position.
He further highlighted his commitment to working closely with the ministry of Domestic Trade and Market Regulation to fulfill the commitments of the President of the Republic.
