Arkab examines ways to enhance bilateral cooperation with delegation from Egyptian Firm “Arab Contractors”

ALGIERS-The Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, met on Wednesday with a delegation from the Egyptian company “Arab Contractors,” led by the Vice-Chairman of the company’s board of directors, El Sayed Abdel Khalek Al Wazer, with whom he discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, the ministry said in a press release.

During the meeting, attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Algiers, Mokhtar Gamil Tawfik Warida, and several ministry officials, “the two parties explored ways to boost cooperation relations between Algeria and Egypt in energy, mining and renewable energy, in accordance with the leaders of both countries, so as to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and mutual partnership,” noted the press release.

Both parties explored the explored the prospects for developing these relations, building on the outcomes of the working and fraternity visit that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, paid to the Arab Republic of Egypt last October.

The discussions also covered cooperation and investment opportunities between Algerian and Egyptian companies, particularly the key players in the sector such as Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Sonarem.

The areas discussed include the oil and gas industry, field development, creation of basic infrastructure for hydrocarbons, construction of power stations, transformation, and transmission facilities, as well as the implementation of projects to leverage mineral resources in Algeria.  [/ecr]
