During this meeting, which took place in the presence of central executives from the ministry and the Director General of the National Agency for Study and Monitoring of Railway Investment Projects (ANESRIF), as well as the President and CEO of the public railway construction group, the minister reviewed Algeria’s experience in implementing infrastructure and basic facilities, particularly railways, through the implementation of the national railway and guided transport investment program.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador, accompanied by a delegation of officials from the “Arab Contractors” company, commended Algeria’s experience in executing large-scale infrastructure projects, notably the development of the railway network and guided transport, expressing Egyptian companies’ willingness to invest in these projects.
He also stressed the importance of fostering this partnership by establishing a consortium of Algerian-Egyptian companies to secure deals and execute joint projects in basic infrastructure outside the two countries, noted the press release.
During the meeting, both parties underscored “the importance of promoting cooperation perspectives in the next phase, bolstering joint investments, and forming bilateral economic partnerships in the sector, leveraging the remarkable expertise and capabilities of both countries.” [/ecr]
